John Langmore Exhibition Opening Reception

Join photographer John Langmore at the opening of his exhibition Open Range.

John Langmore is an Austin, Texas-based photographer pursuing long-term personal projects. His recently published book, Open Range: America’s Big-Outfit Cowboy (Twin Palms Publishers 2018), is the result of over six years of work photographing on fourteen of the country’s largest ranches, all running full crews of horseback cowboys.

Photographer John Langmore will be at DCP on Wednesday, January 22 from 6:30-9:00pm for the opening of his exhibition Open Range. It is a free event and open to the public.

Open Range is the culmination of six years of photographing the nation’s largest and most famous ranches. John was a working cowboy for years before he came back to the subject as a photographer. His images and writings reflect this deep connection to the cowboy world and offer an unrivaled chance to witness a way of life that many imagine but few experience.
