CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
*** Please note our cancellation policy has changed! ***
In addition to a revised cancellation period for refunds, DCP is no longer offering transfer credit. If you have an outstanding credit we will honor it until it’s expiration date. Please contact us at info@dallascenterforphotography.org for the new coupon code.
By registering for a class, workshop, special event or tutoring at Dallas Center for Photography you agree to the following terms and conditions: A link to these terms will be included in your confirmation email. Multi-day and location workshops may have different Cancellation and Refund policies which will be detailed on the relevant page on the website.
Cancellations of classes and workshops by students:
Each class or workshop has a minimum and maximum number of students. Once a class is fully booked it stops others from booking those spots. If you can’t make a class and want to avoid cancellation penalties, you’re welcome to find someone to take your place. All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to info@dallascenterforphotography.org.
Cancellation 7 days or more ahead of scheduled date:
Full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.
Cancellation from 5 to 7 days ahead of scheduled date:
50% refund minus a $25 administrative fee.
No refund or transfer for cancellations within 4 days of start time of class or workshop.
* In the case of multi-day classes, the scheduled date refers to the first class of the series. Once a multi-day class has started there are no refunds for classes missed. Multi-day workshops may carry additional terms and conditions which will be detailed on the relevant page.
* We understand that health and family emergencies happen. In certain cases, a maximum refund of 50% may be granted.
* Rescheduling to another similar class or workshop is based on availability. If, after rescheduling, a student cancels the class again, there will be no refund of payment.
If you are unable to make a class, you may consider changing the cost of your class registration into a tax-deductible donation. Dallas Center for Photography is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to fuel personal growth and connect our community through photographic education, events and exhibitions.
Cancellations of individual tutoring and small group instruction:
Tutoring or small group sessions must be completed within 6 months of purchase. After 6 months the sessions expire. If you need to reschedule, contact us ahead of time to set up another time. If you cancel less than 48 hours ahead of the scheduled date and time, we reserve the right to charge a $50 cancellation or rescheduling fee. Same day no shows are charged at 100% with no refund. If you purchase a package of tutoring hours at the discounted price and then request a partial refund the sessions used will be billed at the full alacarte rate to determine the refund amount. Any refunds of tutoring of small group instruction is subject to a 10% processing fee of the remaining value.
Cancellations by the Dallas Center for Photography:
We retain the right to cancel any class, workshop or other event. In case of such a cancellation by us we will issue a full refund within 3 business days of the cancellation date.
Memberships
DCP memberships are non-refundable because of the immediate availability of exclusive discounts.
Special note regarding gift certificates: We have switched to a new e-commerce system that doesn’t include the ability to issue gift certificates and are therefore phasing them out. Thank you for understanding and we hope you can find a specific class or workshop to give to your friend or family member. If you have an outstanding gift certificate, please contact us for a new coupon code when you are ready to register for a class or event.
Gift certificate refunds:
Did the recipient of your gift really want cooking lessons instead of photography lessons? We can refund the full value of an unused gift certificate minus a 5% processing fee within 30 days of purchase. The refund amount can only go back to the original method of payment.
Cancellations and rescheduling for purchases using a gift certificate:
If you purchase a class or workshop using a gift certificate and can no longer attend, your cancellation will be subject to our standard cancellation policy. If you are eligible for a refund, the refund amount will be placed on another gift certificate. If you are eligible for a transfer credit, you will be issued a coupon that is good towards another similar class within 3 months of cancellation date.*
