A quick guide to DCP classes and workshops
I want to buy a gift for someone who just got a camera.
We recommend starting with our beginner level courses that will thoroughly explain the fundamentals of photography and how to shoot with more confidence and creative control. Travel Photography is also a great option and it applies to all types of cameras, including DSLRs, pocket cameras and smartphones.
The person I am shopping for is ready for more creative classes.
We offer classes that explore creative techniques such as lighting and composition and help to further particular shootings skills. These are perfect for someone who is already familiar with their camera and has a basic understanding of ISO, f-stops, depth of field, shutter speed and motion blur. If you don’t think your recipient knows what any of the words in that last sentence meant then the beginner classes would be the place to start.
My gift recipient is a more advanced photographer or someone working on a long term project.
Our long form workshops offer the chance to work at an intensity and depth that is not found in single day classes. You’ll receive guidance from renowned photographers to move your photography from snapshots to visual story telling. We also offer private lessons to assist with personal projects and photo exhibits.
