Early one morning in late December 2019 after a light snowfall, I took a walk around downtown Santa Fe. I was struck by this scene at the corner of Griffin & McKenzie Streets. A worn and weathered yellow fire hydrant was almost blinding against the white snow and the historic, yet derelict White Building. The yellow curb peeking out from the untouched snow-covered street provided a nice leading line down the street. This image received 2nd Place in DCP’s 2020 Members Show: Contrast.
