Judge’s Choice Winner: astevensphoto. DCP instructor Steve McWilliams was the judge this month and had this to say about the photo: I kept being drawn back to this image by astevensphoto because of the private, unaware, human component that was present. We see and ignore this sight every day but you can’t ignore this image. I like that the subject itself is very plain and isn’t enhanced by exotic environment or spectacular natural light or phenomenon. This is a very common event but captured with an uncommon eye. The composition, plus the black and white/square image presents well on Instagram and I believe that lead to part of my decision.
