Judge’s Choice Winner: jburgosphoto. DCP Instructor Patrizia Montanari was the judge for this month and had this to say about Jennise’s photo: “jburgosphoto submitted a few shots for the DCPportrait Instagram competition and I have to admit I had a very hard time choosing my favorite because I loved all of her shots. Consistency, in the art of photography is very hard to achieve, sometimes, in my humble opinion, even impossible. Not to mention finding your own style, jburgosphoto has a style and scrolling down the dcpportrait hashtag you are able to recognize it. This photograph caught my attention because of the photographer’s ability to find the light and use it to her advantage. The subject is perfectly lit, although surrounded by a dark environment. The choice of aperture made this shot even more interesting as it separates the subject from the surroundings and brings the viewer’s eye straight to it. Beautiful. Very well done.”
