The Hot Sausage man was a welcomed sight because I was thirsty and hungry. It was also familiar because it reminded of many vendors I’ve photographed while visiting New York City and other places in the US. He was different, though; he seemed to bring a professionalism to what he did for a living. I loved the way he was dressed up and the seriousness with which he served his customers. When no customer was in front of him, he was still cleaning, rearranging, and preparing for the next one.
