Big public events are great places to shoot. I just walk around looking for interesting groupings of people, something happening or about to happen. Looking for moments, compositions and light. If I find something interesting I work with it till I have a shot. The party hats got my attention and the scene became more interesting when a plane flew by and, looking up, they raised their arms to shield their eyes from the sun.
